Tiny Tot Lessons are available for young children, 3-5 years old, to get a hands-on introduction to horses and riding. Lessons are one-on-one, 45 minute sessions (typically 15-20 minutes in the saddle) and are available on a safe reliable Easy J school horse or pony. Lessons are taught in a safe and fun environment where young children are allowed to progress at their own pace within their comfort level. The young riders, in the tiny tot program, will learn basic horse handling skills including haltering, leading, grooming and tacking up their horse or pony. The riding skills the young tiny tot riders will learn include how to balance, steer, stop, walk and trot all while on a lead line. These skills will be developed through fun and educational lessons that include fun games and carefully planned instruction. Once children are comfortable to begin trotting off the lead line or they have reached 5 years of age they are ready to move up to our Junior Lesson program.

Junior Lessons are available for young children ages 4-6. Riders will continue to expand their riding abilities and continue gaining  confidence in both handling and riding their pony. These lessons are one-on-one and are still in the shorter 45 minute format (typical time spent in the saddle is 25-30 minutes) to accommodate the attention span of young children and are available on a safe reliable Easy J school horse or pony. Once riders have reached the age of 6 they are ready for our hour private lessons.

Lesson Payment Policy –

To reserve your lesson time, for the month, all scheduled lessons for that month must be prepaid by the first lesson taken of the month.

Cancellation Policy –

Easy J requires a 24-hour notice if a student needs to cancel a lesson. Not giving a 24-hour notice or not showing up for a scheduled lesson will result in the student being charged the full lesson fee prior to scheduling the next lesson. We have a great covered arena available to use during wet or hot  days, if a lesson needs to be cancelled due to the weather the instructor will contact the student.
